Anyway to answer your question, no I don't, but the camera does automatically, because the metering is through-the-lens, so the camera's meter sees the world through the filter. So I don't have to do anything except be aware that by using the filter I'm going to lose a few stops, ie. the required shutter speeds be will a few stops longer at the same aperture. Presumably your camera's metering is also through-the-lens.
I meant that I don't understand why it only goes to 1 second in aperature priority mode instead of the 15 seconds that I know it CAN do...
I understand the terms well enough thanks, lol... I also know the pains and long hours in a darkroom... did that for two years... it can be so tedious,
but it's been years since I did that and I kind of miss it... I'm going to start developing my own film at least... that stuff is easy... then I'll scan the film which is even easier.

I've got a cable switch on order... my cam can go up to 30 seconds in aperature priority mode and I always screw up things in bulb mode so I don't use that much... oh wait, that was my digicam... it goes up to 15 seconds in shutter priority (but 1 second max in aper. pri. which I don't understand)... oh well, no biggy... heheh.
I might go back when there's more traffic but I liked having just that one care there though... maybe I'll clone/heal out those tail-lights of that one car, lol.
